Designing Elements 101: Photoshop for Motion
Course Description
This two-day course
is an introduction to designing still elements for use in Final
Cut Pro, Motion, and DVD Studio Pro using Photoshop CS2. Students
design actual elements from a released DVD series while developing
an efficient and professional workflow and learning to utilize
the sophisticated integration of the Final Cut Studio applications.
Topics include designing graphic elements, preparing elements
for use in animation, and designing for NTSC, HD, and DVD.
Classes are taught by Yan Shvalb, a consultant, graphic artist, and author of two recent books released by PeachPit Press: Authoring Professional DVDs with DVD Studio Pro 2, and Advanced Finishing Techniques for Final Cut Pro 4. He is an Apple-Certified Trainer in Motion, DVDSP, Shake, and Final Cut Pro, and also regularly teaches classes in Maya.
All students receive the course book Photoshop CS for Nonlinear Editors. There is a maximum of eight students in each class, and each student works at his or her own computer workstation.
The course fee is $1000.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for anyone interested in motion graphics, compositing, and DVD production, and is an ideal lead-in to Motion 200 and DVDSP 101.
