FCP 200: Five-day Introductory Final Cut Pro Intensive
Course Description
This five-day, hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set
and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. Topics include navigating
the interface, basic editing techniques, customizing settings
and preferences, capturing video and audio, trimming, filters,
basic motion attributes, editing audio, multi-cam editing, finishing
and final output.
Who Should Attend?
This class is designed for anyone looking to edit
professional-quality video using Final Cut Pro 6. Understanding
of the Macintosh operating system and basic computer navigation
is desired. The course is designed for those who prefer interactive,
hands-on training to best explore the full functionality of Final
Cut Pro.
All students receive
the Apple course book Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut
Pro 6. There is a maximum of eight students in each class,
and each student works at his or her own editing system.
The course cost is $1,500.
Certification
Students who have completed FCP 200 are eligible to
take the Apple-Certified End User Exam in Final Cut Pro 6.
As an Apple-Certified
Pro, you will have the ability to differentiate yourself to employers
and colleagues as a highly skilled user of Final Cut Pro. You
will receive a certificate from Apple distinguishing you as an
Apple-Certified Pro, and you will have the right to use the Apple
Certified Pro logo.
FCP 200 students who wish to be recognized
by Apple as an Apple-Certified Pro have the option to take the
Final Cut Pro 6 Level 1 End User Exam, free of charge, on the
last day of class, Friday, from 6pm to 9pm. Students who
are interested in Certification but do not wish to take the Exam
on Friday may register to take the exam during any one regularly
scheduled Level 1 Certification testing date and pay the associated
course fee.

- Basic knowledge of the Macintosh OS

FCP 200 is taught Monday through Friday, 10:00 am
to 5:00 pm.

Students who have completed FCP 200 will
receive a 10% discount off the cost of either the Six-week Art
of Editing Course or FCP 300: Two-day Advanced
Final Cut Pro Intensive if taken within one year of FCP 200.
