DVD Studio Pro 101: An Overview of DVD Authoring
In this comprehensive two-day
course, students will learn everything they need to create a professional
DVD title. This class guides students through every aspect of
DVD authoring, from initial storyboarding to burning and replication.
Using compelling media and a real-world production workflow, students
will learn how to create amazing MPEG 2 videos with Compressor
as well as create eye-popping motion menus directly in DVD Studio
Pro 3. Students will also "author" a DVD by creating
buttons, interactive links, slideshows, playlists and even adding
alternate audio stream and camera angles.
This class includes
hands-on work time as well as lectures and demonstrations. There
is a maximum of eight people in each class and each student gets
their own system to work on. Students also receive the Apple course
book, DVD Studio Pro 3: Authoring Professional DVDs.
DVD Studio Pro 101 is taught by Jem Schofield, president and creative director of Buttons Productions (a production company that produces video, DVD, and web designs for a variety of film, television, and corporate clients). In addition to his design experience, Jem is an Apple-Certified Trainer in DVD Studio Pro.
This class is designed
for anyone wishing to learn how to author a DVD. It is also suitable
for users of earlier versions of DVD Studio Pro who want to learn
the interface and workflow of DVD Studio Pro 3.
The course cost is $750.
Classes are taught Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
